1. Set a Schedule
Every Sunday make it a point to set workout times for the upcoming week. Pre-planning allows you to make sure this will fit into your busy schedule properly.
2. Workout at The Park
The park or playground can be the perfect gym setting. Everything you need for a great bodyweight workout is right at your fingertips. You can do pushups, chin-ups, squats and tricep dips. You can run, crawl, jump and climb. Twenty to thirty minutes while you kids play is all you need for a great workout.
3. Keep a Resistance Band or TRX Strap in Your Car
A resistance band or suspension trainer is a perfect way to be well equipped no matter where you may be. If you want a little added resistance to your workouts, these two training apparatuses will surely do the trick. These can easily be attached to most objects wherever you are.
4. Get Your Friends Involved
There is nothing more motivating than a support system of like minded individuals. Surrounding yourself with a group of people who encourage and support your fitness goals is crucial to your success.
5. Find What Motivates You and Get to It
Maybe it's a high school or college reunion. Maybe its to look better for your significant other or perhaps its just to set a good example for your kids. Whatever the motivation factor may be, continue on that path. You're doing a great thing for all parties.
6. Set Goals For Yourself
No matter how many days a week you like to exercise, setting goals is extremely important to keep you on track. Keep a progress journal and over a few months see how far you have come. Take note and see how much strength you have gained or unwanted body-fat you may have lost. This is a very important step to always becoming better.
