1) You Want Instant Gratification
There is an age old question asking, how long did it take you to put on those unwanted pounds? How many times did you eat shitty meals and miss training sessions?
Now, let me guess, you're going to tell me it took you years to get that way right? So then why in hell would you think you would be able to take it off in a few short weeks?
There are no quick fixes guys. The only thing that will work will be a complete lifestyle change. That means making a full blown commitment to eating healthy and making it to the gym a minimum of three days a week.
2) You’re Eating Too Much Fat
Carbs may not your problem. Unfortunately, Dr. Atkins has lead you believe they are. But lets think about this for a second. How the hell can bacon, cheese and endless processed foods get you lean? I mean really?
Fat contains calories, so by eating a pound of bacon, cheese and processed foods everyday, you will never get lean. You may drop a few pounds initially, but will never last. I’ve tried. But what you could be guaranteed of, is the risk of an early heart attack. “Is that something you might be interested in?”
Twenty five percent of your calories should come from good fats like egg yolks, wild caught salmon, grass fed beef and coconut oil. Not the other garbage
3)You're Doing To Much Cardio
Traditional forms of cardio suck as we all know and will do nothing for true fat loss. That has been proven time and time again. Excessive amounts of cardio do nothing but lead to the body producing high levels of cortisol which will then inturn lead to more stomach fat.
If you want to do cardio that won’t be counter productive, you should go for a long walk, push a sled or do hill sprints.
4) You're Not Getting Enough Sleep
When you’re short on sleep your cortisol levels increase which is less than optimal fat loss.
If you want to lose more body fat you have to get more sleep, bottom line. More sleep improves everything so make it a priority.
5) You’re Eating Too Many Calories
This should be pretty obvious, but to most people there are still those who claim you can eat all you want as long as you avoid carbs. The problem with that statement is you can not eat 3,500 calories on a daily basis and expect to lose fat. “Stoking the metabolism" every two to three hours is not helping you to get leaner, its just adding extra calories that are unwanted and unneeded. The simplest way to start losing fat is to cut your calories. Plain and simple
6) You’re Not Training Heavy Enough
When you want to lose body-fat the first inclination is often to go light weight, high reps and low rest times. I actually have no problem with low rest periods, in fact, its how I train everyday. But high reps and light weights will not do the trick. Heavier weights need to be moved to maintain a solid base of muscle mass. Moving heavy weights will make your body work harder, fire up the CNS and ensure you get a much better fat producing workout. Heavier weights, lower reps will be sure to do the trick.
7) You’re Drinking Low Quality Protein Shakes
When you want to get lean it’s always better to EAT as many of your calories as possible, rather than drink them. The act of eating real, raw, fibrous foods will transform you body way quicker than any kind of protein shake will. Lets remember that the supplement industry is a multi billion dollar industry with enough lies regarding true ingrediants, it’s actually what got the exorcists head to finally spin.
8) You Need To Manage Stress Better
When you get stressed out your body produces a stress hormone known as cortisol. This increases bodyfat and can not be controlled. Most people are stressed out all day long, which leads to elevated cortisol levels which leads to increased bodyfat. Do your best to keep stress levels down and try to mediate every day to start your morning.
